Shanti
Asiatic School, Ahmedabad observed the World Peace Day in its own
innovative way on September 21, 2012. 773 members of SAS, attempted a
feat by singing in unison the most appropriate song for the occasion Hum
Honge Kaamyaab which was broadcast live on Radio City to plant seeds of
peace into the hearts of the global community, and registered
themselves in the LIMCA BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS. This unique event was
witnessed by the Mayor of Ahmedabad, Shri Asit Vora, Police Commissioner
Shri T.S. Bhist and Jt. M.D. of Gujarat Police Housing Corporation Shri
Ajay Tomar , Official Representative of the Limca Book of World Record
Ms.Smita Thomas along with the trustees of Chiripal group Shri Ved
Prakashji , Shri Jyoti Prakashji, Shri Brijmohanji and Shri Vishal
Chiripal.
Peace,
harmony and universal brotherhood are a few values that are woven in our
curriculum. Such activities help our children imbibe these vital
values. Through the song they have taken a pledge to spread the
fragrance of peace and brotherhood in the world. This is only the
beginning... the determination in their eyes, the unity in their voices,
the enthusiasm in their hearts and the smile of satisfaction predicted a
glorious future.
The
experience was remarkable.... as if all the doves of the world flocked
in SAS and were ready to fly to different corners of the world as the
ambassadors of peace and harmony.
