Visit to
the Akshardham temple, which is located at Gandhinagar was a rewarding
experience for children of classes IV and V who travelled on July 26,
2012.The field trip theme was based on Environment which was studied in
the landscape, and surrounding of the magnificent temple of Shree
Swaminarayan, the great sage .The temple was visited by the children
who paid their immense devotion to the swami.
The beauty of the carvings on the temple walls, peace and serenity of the temple was also witnessed by the children. The children visited the entire temple which was a showcase of the life of the sage who left all worldly pleasures and travelled all over India .The things he used, his lifestyle and challenges faced by him environmentally was breathtaking.

The
children went on a tour in the entire garden landscape of the temple
which was a beautiful journey that unfolded the abundance of natural
beauty. The children saw varied types of ornamental plants, shrubs,
bushes, trees as they wound their trip back to SAS.
The
importance of maintaining harmony in the environment by having positive
approach to life was also a salient feature of the trip.
