Hathi Ghoda Palki…Jai Kanhaniya lal ki

“Hathi Ghoda Palki…Jai Kanhaniya lal ki” the whole SAS premises echoed this as the Pre Primary and classes I and II celebrated Janmashtami on August 27, 2013. The campus was decorated with buntings, flowers and swings. The children were brightly dressed as Krishna, Radha and Gopikas.

Celebration with gaiety began with lighting of ceremonial lamp by Guest of Honor – Mrs Nitika Chiripal. Little Angels captivated the audience by enacting various roles of Sri Krishna from childhood and delivered the dialogue in their innocent way. Mesmerizing dance performances, under the guidance of their teachers, won the heart of audience. The crowd of Gwalas came dancing and jumping to break the Matki and thrilled the show.
Students had a gala time as they paid homage to Shri Krishna – unchallenged Hero.

Follow your Heart

“It’s impossible” said pride
“It’s risky” said experience
“It’s pointless” said reason
“Give it a try” whispered the heart

Children have many dreams when they grow up …what are the things that make time fly and the world almost disappear around you while you’re doing it. All you need is courage to follow your heart and intuition everything else is secondary.

SAS students of grade IX and X were overwhelmed to attend a live web seminar “Follow your heart” organized by ITC. The panelists were renowned people like Soha Ali Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Ravinder Singh and Terence Lewis.

It gave students an opportunity to know the thought process of celebrities; it also allowed students to have a digital experience through various applications.
Thus it was a wealthy learning experience for students. It filled every student’s heart with the message …..” only option you don’t have is to stop trying and give up. Don’t give up too easy…it’s your dream we are talking about!”

Here’s My Hat

Here’s my hat.
It holds my head,
The thoughts I’ve had
And the things I’ve read.

It keeps out the wind.
It keeps off the rain.
It hugs my hair
And warms my brain.

Pointy ones, veiled ones, flowered ones, sporty ones were some styles seen on the little Angels’ heads at SAS on 2 July, 2013.Students and staff members donned their favourite hats to celebrate “Funny Hat Day”.

Students and Parents crafted hats themselves by using scrap materials, the most popular styles included sports team caps, cozy winter hats and silly themed hats. The students were excited and curious to know what everyone was wearing.

They also rocked in the “Dance Party” organised at Sand-Pit of the school. Children wearing beautiful and colourful costumes with hats looked like butterflies enjoying the breeze. Few stylish young women performed Cat-Walk.

Teacher’s were overjoyed and expressed the mesmerising moments...
“...We do fun theme days throughout the year for the kids.... Nurturing children and their learning abilities in a creative way....”

Thus Tiny Tots had a blast in their”Masti Ki Pathshala”

KAI PO CHE..........

Kites soar against the wind and always inspire us. The winter sky in Ahmadabad is incomplete without colourful Kites rising high in the sky. But what goes into the making of Kites? A close encounter with all the variety of Kites is what engages the mind of our Class I, II and IV students and hence they were thrilled to take an exciting trip to Kite museum on 22 June, 2013 and 29 June, 2013.

Students simply loved exploring the museum. There were wonderful examples of Kites made from all sort of materials such as paper, nylon, cotton and bamboo created by Bhaubhai Shah. The exciting and amazing stories of every Kites held a lot of fascination for the young viewers. Kids were mesmerised by the miniature paintings of Radha Krishna to the intricately crafted sequences of Garba dances, mirror work and block prints which adorned the wall of Kite museum.

It was a day filled with fun and frolic, dipped with all the hues and colours; it was indeed a joyous and learning moment.

Hurrah!!!! Picnic time for TINY TOTS

The very mention of farmyard animals lights up child’s face!!  Pre- primary children’s visit to Animal Help Foundation (AHF) was like making the “Old Mc Donald” rhyme alive. Children learnt all about the farm animals and were allowed to get close to them while feeding the animals. The staff of the AHF enthusiastically answered all the children’s inquisitive questions.

Aahana's graphical expression of visit to farmyard.

Tiny tots thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the slides, swings and the jungle gym. Thus visit to animal farm provided children (and 'grown-ups' too) with the opportunity to experience the joy of getting 'close and personal' with lots of friendly farmyard animals in a delightful outdoor country atmosphere.
