Knowledge Carnival 2011

Shanti Asiatic School, Ahmadabad celebrated its second Knowledge Carnival on its campus. Dr P Babu, Chief Commissioner Central Excise and Mrs Shobha Babu were the Chief Guest for the Carnival.SAS was also honoured to have Mr Ajay Tomar, Joint Commissioner of Police,IPS as the guest of honour.

This amazing carnival comprising of 35 stalls was managed by the students with much enthusiasm. The Carnival was a blend of fun and knowledge had something for everyone. Through this event the students displayed their multiple life skills and every stall was bursting with games and thinning out knowledge. The stalls included, Bioscope, Web Design, Art Creek, Craft Bazaar, Mathemagics, Language Games, Interactive Science with RA-ONE’s heart, IT meets creativity, Innovative Jewellery, and Tattoo Making stalls.

The main attractions of the evening were Knowledge Housie enjoyed by each one, the traditional dance by the students and the choir that had everyone swaying to the beats of songs .Some familiar cartoon characters who mingled with the crowd gave a fillip to the whole Carnival . There were rides for children, and a number of food stalls serving delicious and mouth-watering food. The carnival was a huge success and this unforgettable evening came to an end with lot of smiles signifying joy.

The festive season before Christmas and New Year was the time to showcase the talents of the students. Carnival involves public celebration and the parents graced the occasion in large number. More than 2000 guests were present. Students were dressed up and masqueraded during the celebration. It was an overturning of daily life, a wonderful break from monotony and time to gear up for festivity.
